18 single character .se domains to be auctioned off starting today. IIS.se ( responsible for the .SE country code) stated that the auction will take place on Tradera. You may remember that TV.se was auctioned on Tradera back in December of 2014.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 18\u00a0.se domains up for auction are j.se, q.se, v.se, \u00e5.se, \u00e4.se, \u00f6.se, \u00e9.se, \u00fc.se and 0.se \u2013 9.se. The auction\u00a0begins on May 28 (07.00 UTC) and ends on June 11.<\/p>\n

Other one-character domains are released according to the first come, first serve principle on the morning of May 27. All are IDN domains\/characters according to .SE\u2019s official IDN table. Note that hyphen \u201c-.se\u201d cannot be registered. All one-character domains to be released on\u00a0May 27 can be found in the attached appendix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To enable registration of one-character domains, the .se system will be updated May 27 starting at 9:00. As soon as the patch is complete, the domains will be possible to register. We cannot say exactly how long the update will take, but in the best case, just a couple of minutes.<\/p>\n

Note that .SE is not releasing a.se, b.se, c.se,\u2026 (and others), as these are used as master domains according to an old policy from the time when registrations under domains\u2019 county letters (katema.a.se) were allowed. Although this was some years ago, it is not possible to enter new registrations of domains under a master domain as many existing domains remain, and these domains may survive for as long as they are renewed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
