With the recent news of Microsoft&#8217;s Hololens, the top keyword for January was Holo, followed by block and then glitter on the heels of ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com.<\/p>\n<p>Verisign explains:<\/p>\n<p>We have shown in the past that there is a correlation between domain name registrations and newsworthy and popular events, as well as anticipated trends. In 2014, we looked at <a title=\"Bitcoin and Domain Registration Trends\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.verisigninc.com\/blog\/entry\/domain_registrations_is_bitcoin_going?cmp=blog\" target=\"_blank\">Bitcoin as an example<\/a> of how domain registrations could be an effective gauge of interest in a particular subject.
