000000.com sold for $28,500 on November 11, and as expected the buyer is a registrant from China. The interesting thing is it looks like the whois changed in consecutive days. The first change was to a registrant that the whois info did not look legitimate except for the phone and email. When looking at the email it related to a Jupan.com.
When checking out Jupan.com it redirects to Yiming.com.cn who calls themself a domain intermediary, it looks they completed the transaction with Sedo. So either they handled the transaction for the current registrant who may have been uncomfortable with using Sedo, or they flipped it to the current registrant.
The next day the whois changed to a registrant in China and is forwarding 000000.com to 555555.com which looks to be an aftermarket site in Chinese for selling numeric domain names.
