PLASTIC ISN'T THE ONLY PROBLEM

Maistic products – whether branded or private label – contribute directly to six of the SDG goals. But all of the goals are equally important. And through the choice of partnerships and projects we contribute to even more SDGs – for example SDG 1 when we choose to produce in a factory in India founded by an elderly widow with workers in the same difficult situation. This factory might not have all the minimum certifications when we started the corporation – but this year they had the first important one. It makes us proud to use and off er a fabrication site like this.

FSC®

Maistic is FSC® certified and off er packaging and paper-, wood-, viscose- and bamboo based products from FSC® certified plantations, printers and factories. You’ll find still more FSC® logo on the branded Maistic products. An example is the Maistic Cloth, which is triple FSC® certified: Both viscose, retail packaging and outer cartons and display cartons are made from sustainably managed forests.

THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Sedex, Amfori BSCI, ISO9001 and similar are among the main certificates we ask for and offer and they are standard when Maistic produce at medium and large entities.

You are always welcome to ask us for relevant papers on the product you wish us to produce for you.

SPECIALIZED IN POMPOSTABLES

Maistic is specialized in compostables. Whether it’s bags, items for take away, all sorts of packaging, home supplies or for personal care, we represent developers and factories with compostable materials and products.

We could very well help you As a Maistic client, also please feel free to ask for our advice on claiming biodegradability and waste management on a product.

DEFINING COMPOSTABLE AND BIODEGRADABLE

Yes, the terms and meaning of biodegradable, biobased and compostable bioplastics are difficult to understand. A good one-pager is here

Maistic only work with bioplastics that are tested and certified both biodegradable and compostable and we work to support and develop the organic waste stream. Bioplastics only defined biobased while not biodegradable is not for us – you will have to ask for those types of plastic in the traditional plastics industry.
